M/F + Staging an/d Archive

The complementary two-volume set – consisting of the theoretical publication "M/F" by Leo Rafolt and the opulent visual archive "Staging an/d Archive" – focuses on the first twenty years of the professional journey of Croatia's acclaimed theatre director, ensemble dance choreographer, and performer Marija Ferlin.

Created as a collaborative project between the authors – from conceptual development to publication – these books are intended for both specialist and general audiences.

„The title M/F, which acts like an enigmatic cypher with many possible meanings, suggests: these are the initials of Matija Ferlin as the central figure of the book, but also of his closest collaborator, visual artist Mauricio Ferlin. Other possible readings include male/female, mother/father...
