A Guide Through Sadness

A collection of poetry for children and adults, "A Guide Through Sadness" raises awareness about grief as a normal part of life, through a unique visual language and by depicting 13 different situations. The illustrations, including their color palette and approach, aim to challenge the conventional image of grief by presenting mourning as s process of transformation. It is important to (learn to) talk about grief, and this book serves as a kind of statement to that belief. "A Guide Through Sadness" is the first children's book by Espi Tomičić, featuring illustrations by the artist Sretni Bor.
