MADE IN: Future Legacies
"Future Legacies" brings together the outcomes of a two-year research process developed within the MADE IN Platform, shaped by designers, artists, curators, editors, translators, and the craftspeople whose expertise grounds the project. The book traces this collaborative framework through three chapters: "Knowledge Atlas", mapping skills, materials, and processes across Europe; "Collaborations", presenting the results of residencies, workshops, and a summer school organised into four thematic clusters; and "Perspectives", a selection of essays reflecting on the evolving role of craft in contemporary ecological and cultural contexts.
Combining essays, interviews, and project documentation, "Future Legacies" positions craftsmanship as an active, adaptive practice capable of addressing current social and environmental urgencies. The volume includes contributions from more than forty practitioners, among them Marija Đorđević, Cvetka Požar, Maja Vardjan, Philipp Deny, Ronja Grossar, Lynn Harles, Milena Jokanović, Ruxandra Lupu, Alina Șerban, Ulrike Silz, and Ina Turin.
